On June 5th, DoxTek, Inc., a software company, announced its acquisition of the ECM Systems Division of Los Angeles-based content management and document imaging company Matrix Imaging.
PRWeb.com reports that DoxTek, Inc.’s acquisition will give Matrix Imaging clients more customer support options, as well as give the company itself extensive expertise in engineering, content management system development, and document imaging.
The two companies have already collaborated on several projects since at least 2005 and have come to develop a close and trusting working relationship, drawing on each other’s strengths and improving on each other’s weaknesses.
DoxTek, Inc, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, will be Matrix Imaging’s value-added reseller (VAR) of record, meaning it will take over the support of Kofax and EMC ApplicationXtender software programs used in Matrix Imaging’s offices. In return, Matrix Imaging will provide support for DoxTek, Inc.’s scanners, including scanner repair and outsourced scanning services.

DoxTek, Inc.’s expertise and services are recognized around the world. Prominent software services company Kofax lists DoxTek, Inc. as a Diamond Partner; there are only 13 Diamond Partners in the world. The acquisition will only strengthen the company’s resolve and leadership in the software industry.
In accordance with the agreement, DoxTek, Inc. welcomes James Linhart as its next Director of Sales, West Region. Linhart will ensure that DoxTek, Inc.’s services remain prominent in Los Angeles, working closely with Matrix Imaging toward that end.
